Water Front Restaurant Bar The Blind Tiger opens in Bay St. Louis

The Blind Tiger restaurant and bar opened in Bay St Louis on the water. They want people to know they are on the water in front of the new harbor. Bay St. Louis needed a fun choice for dining and fun. The Blind Tiger is quickly becoming a favorite with locals and tourist alike. The open air style is reminiscent of years gone by and coast that we all remember and cherish.

Thomas Genin, the owner, wanted to create a great bar with food. "I want to create a place I would come hang out and grab some great food made from the best ingredients." Thomas went on to explain that he was glad to be part of Bay St. Louis.

Second Saturday brings local car club to Old Town Bay St Louis

Second Saturday on Main Street in Old Town Bay St Louis brought out some really cool cars this time. There was a cruising car club that set up in the Main Street parking lot with the mural. This was a great event and it was surely a hit with kids young and old. If you haven't been to a Second Saturday in Old Town Bay St. Louis, mark your calender they are on the 2nd Saturday of every month and go on from for 4:00PM til 8ish.

Bay St Louis Bridge after Sunset

The Bay St. Louis bridge is now lit up after sunset. It is a beautiful state of the art bridge that includes a wonderful walking path. The Bridge connects Bay St. Louis with Henderson Point in Mississippi. The bridge has standard lights for the roadway, but is also lit from underneath.

Kayak Fishing under Bay St Louis Train Bridge

On a morning like this it is time to load the Kayaks and head out to the beach or the Bay St Louis Train bridge for some trout or redfish action. A reliable Kayak is a good choice for a low cost high enjoyment fishing machine. Generally fishing in a Kayak is more work and requires more sitting in a tight space, but the boat note is low and the fish aren't spooked from the larger profile. Fishing in a Kayak is also rewarding with a closer feeling to nature during your kayak fishing trip. Be safe, always wear a life jacket when fishing in a Kayak. It only takes a second to have some real problems in the water.

Early Morning sunrise over Old Town Bay Saint Louis Mississippi

This morning was going to have the perfect sunrise. I convinced myself to hop out of bed to greet the colors of the day. I loaded up the camera and tripod and headed to Washington Street fishing pier in Old Town Bay St. Louis. The weather was cool and the water was calm. Boaters were using the launch in preparation for the great fishing ahead of dawn. The sun rose displaying a magnificent array of colors.

Ever wonder what a green parking garage could look like?  Bay St. Louis has a Solar LED Parking Garage installed in Old Town. It is an amazing structure that includes solar, irrigation, plant facades and LED lighting. The garage has over 10 Kilowatts of solar that is used to power the elevator and lighting. The garage is also designed to capture 10,000 gallons of water to irrigate the plants designed to grow on the walls of the garage. It is a self contained assets located 1 block off of Main Street. A great option for parking in Old Town.

Bay St. Louis just built a state of the art Community Hall in the heart of the Depot District.  It is just a beautiful building.  The Hall can be rented out for parties and events.  Its boasts a grand ball room with a stage at one end.  Off to the side there is another room with huge sky lights.  It kinda feels like an courtyard, but indoors!
